Sessile oak and acorn

 Coppiced lime

Coppicing

3.5.2014
A previously coppiced and regenerated sycamore tree

Coppicing
3 offshoots of sycamore

Uses:-
Continued life of a tree, so it doesn't die of old age but regenerates from the roots.
Dead hedging for camp pitch boundaries.
Wildlife refuge.
Wind breaks.
More privacy/boundaries in some cases.
